About Mike Garringer
Mike Garringer is a longtime Madison County resident who believes local government should be responsible, transparent, and focused on serving the people of the community. Mike and his wife, Christina, were both born and raised in Madison County and have been longtime residents. Together they have four children, including two grown children and two younger children currently in school.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine and later a Master’s Degree in Health Administration, building a career in healthcare focused on leadership, operations, and accountability. He spent many years leading nuclear medicine departments and later worked in operational analysis roles that monitored budgets, spending, and organizational performance within a healthcare system responsible for approximately $270 million in annual operations.
In addition to his healthcare career, Mike has been a small business owner since 1998 and has been actively involved in improving local neighborhoods. Mike also holds a Federal Firearms License and maintains a small online business focused on the preservation and restoration of historic firearms.
Mike first became directly involved in local issues in 2016, when he helped lead a petition addressing problems with the Caleb Williams watershed drain that was affecting his community. He also helped organize neighbors around concerns related to a proposed housing development that could have impacted runoff into Sugar Fork Creek.
Mike is running for Madison County Commissioner, District 1, to bring practical leadership, fiscal responsibility, and greater transparency to county government.
